What is Close Reading?
When you read a passage, you should be able to answer the 5 W and 1 H type questions:
who, what, when, where, why, and how.
Close reading, however, requires the you to re-read the text!
It requires deeper thinking and answering questions when the answers are not directly stated in the passage. For example:
